I have always dreamed of a coziness in my kitchen. Good cookware, a large table with comfortable chairs, cooking books, a lot of different seasoning – these things I drew in my imagination. Now I have all these things, and I want to share with you my favorite herbs.
Mint is probably the most aromatic herb. It is a good addition to a lot of desserts and cocktails. I personally add it to cheesecakes and chocolate brownie. Also mint tea helps me if I want to relax after hard day.
Basil has a mildly spicy and clove-like flavor. It is perfect for pizza and salads. Also basil is used to tomato dishes, soups, fish, meat.
Parsley is rich in vitamin C. It has a fresh, grassy flavor. Not just a deli case decoration, parsley is used in soups and stews as well as salads, rice dishes and hummus.
Oregano’s flavor is pungent and powerful, slightly bitter. I always add oregano with basil in pizza and pasta. Also it is used in meat and fish.
Thyme is a very popular herb used in different cuisines around the world. Vegetables, soups, sauces, beef, lamb, fish, beans, cheese and occasional cocktails can all benefit from its delicate flavor.
